The network, linked by a joint educational, tourist and promotional programme, includes institutions associated with the activities of prominent Polish emigrants whose fates were linked to Wielkopolska. These are:

• three residential branches of the National Museum in Poznan, located in Wielkopolska region (Museum Palace in Rogalin - former seat of the Raczyński family, Museum Castle in Gołuchów - former seat of the Leszczyński family, Działyński and Czartoryski families, A. Mickiewicz Museum in Śmiełów - former seat of the Gorziński and Chełkowski families), as well as Poznań branches of the Museum, which contain exhibits related to the trail
• selected institutions affiliated to the Standing Conference of Polish Museums, Archives and Libraries Abroad (the Polish Historical and Literary Society and the Polish Library, together with the Adam Mickiewicz Museum in Paris, the Château de Montrésor and the former member and co-founder of this Association, the Polish Institute and the General Sikorski Museum in London)
• Wielkopolska and European institutions that cultivate the memory and maintain monuments related to the achievements of King Stanislaw Leszczynski in Wielkopolska (Rydzyna and Leszno), Rhineland-Palatinate (Zweibrücken, Tschifflik) and Lorraine (Luneville, Nancy).

The National Museum in Poznań is the originator of the idea and the entity responsible for the operation of the trail.
